RESOUND is an ERC-funded project jointly conducted by the Instituto Complutense de Ciencias Musicales (ICCMU), the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). The project is led by Prof. Dr. Carmen Julia Gutiérrez and it started on December 1, 2023. RESOUND’s main objective is to give voice to the signs of Hispanic chant. To achieve this goal, we will employ tools from bioinformatics, genetics, computational analysis, aural architecture, virtual sound and image restoration, along with tools from the humanities, including musical interpretation.

We are seeking a graduate in Music or Musicology with a solid foundation in Medieval Music

What we offer

  • Contract from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025, with the possibility of renewal
  • Schedule: To be negotiated. Day shift with flexibility from 8 a. m. to 6 p. m.
  • Weekly hours: 25
  • Monthly gross salary: € 17,446.94 in 12 payments with prorated bonus payments
  • Contract start date: August 1, 2024

The workplace is located at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, C. de Manuel Bartolomé Cossío, 0, 28001 Madrid. The selected candidate will be employed by ICCMU and will work in a hybrid format, both in person and remotely.

Specific tasks: Ability to seamlessly integrate into a team specialized in the adaptation of tools traditionaly associated to life sciences, as Genomics or Bioinformatics, for the study of the evolutionary dynamics of medieval chant.
